SAP High-Performance Analytic Appliance (HANA) is an in-memory, column store database. It stores and analyzes large volumes of non-aggregated transactional data. It supports real-time data loads and analytics. SAP business suite applications and the next-generation platform for real-time business come together in SAP HANA. SAP HANA was acquired by SAP in 2005; officially announced in May 2010; first version, SAP HANA 1.0, was released in November 2010; attracted businesses interest by mid-2011; and in September 2011, it was announced to support Net Weaver business warehouse. For all database needs, SAP HANA is a one-stop shop.
