Hi, could you please guide me through the extension application; like what did you give us a reason for filing late? How much the extension fee is & where to post it to?

You should file form I-539 and the fee is $370
Explain that you weren't aware of the new rule (came in April 2017) that you have to file for an extension for your tourist visa while you are waiting to get the decision for the F-1.
I really think you should hire a lawyer so you don't take the risk especially if you get the extension rejected then you will be out of options!
